Conditions Favouring Disease
High relative humididty and temperatures of over 28 degrees C during the day and over 15 degrees C at night. Turf grass species are most affected when night temperatures are consistently above 20 degrees C with high humidity or moisture.
Management Tips
Increase height of cut and air circulation. Avoid nitrogen applications when the disease is active, increase potassium levels. Irrigate early in the day, reduce thatch, remove dew early in the day.
